Emilia is first and foremost a loyal person. Her loyalty belongs first to her family and then to her close friends. This can cause problems because she is blindly loyal and will refuse to see flaws in those she is loyal to.
Growing up with a brother that demanded so much attention Emilia learned to keep quiet and to the shadows. This has made her a good listener but also allowed her to move silently. She has used this to sneak around Hogwarts and listen to people’s conversations
Emilia is a very caring person. She is the one that her roommates come to when they have a problem or when they are ill and need someone to care for them.

History:
Emilia grew up on the huge Yaxley estate. She entered the work quietly and right on time. From the day she was born she was taken care of by the servants. Being a girl she had little to no interaction with her father and brother. She only saw her mother when she came to check on Emilia’s progress in her studies or when she was brought in front of quest to be shown off.
While she grew up with the pureblood ideology it was not as rigorously instilled in her. She was told from her earliest memories that she would marry a pureblood and her first loyalty should be to him and until that time it would be to her family. She was aware of her families support for the Dark Lord but it was considered politics and outside a women’s role.
Emilia was expected to go to Hogwarts, where she would excel in her studies. Though she was told that she should not get to attached to anything since she was expected to marry and pureblood and become a good and proper wife. When she got to the sorting ceremony the sorting hat had no problem sending he to Hufflepuff.
Emilia got along with her roommates and for the most part they have entered her small circle of people she trusts and is loyal to. She found she liked potions and care of magical creatures because it allowed her to care for things. Knowledge of Potions also allowed Emilia to gain a deadly weapon that feminine and one that could be easily hidden. The helpful helpfulness and necessity of this talent has increased as she saw the Dark Lords power rise and she felt the need to protect those she was loyal to and cared for
She found that she did not enjoy and was not good at DADA. She had been instilled with clearly defined female/male roles and males were the defend The women. She found it difficult to overcome this and perform the spells

Emilia sat at the library table with her charms book in front of her. It was too bad that the conversation two tables over looked much more interesting then the book. The two were leaning over a large textbook and they seemed to be fighting over something they were reading. Emilia started making a list of all the things they could be fighting over. It could be what a passage meant, whether they could actually do the spell, how it could be used in a paper, or it could just be a cover for any argument about anything.
She sighed and leaned back in the chair and winced. She had been in the library too long and her body was starting to go to sleep. Rubing her eyes she examined her watch, 11 pm. Time for bed then. Hopefully the two arguing where not planning some spell for a prank. She did not need her prefect duties to extend to cleaning up a mess.
